Abstrak


This research is motivated by the low interest in mathematics among junior and high scool students, one of which is caused by low quality and learning strategy by an educator. Less precisely learning approach chosen by a teacher, it will make students tired of learning is given. The underlying objectives of this study were to change its strategy of learning by educators and also increase the interest of students toward learning mathematics, especially in the material linear equation, in which a teacher is not only providing materials conventionally, but can in certain ways certain ways such as using learning media to improve interest of students towards mathematics. Therefore, the use of instructional media for material Al-Khawarizmi linear equations could be one alternative to increase the interest of students toward mathematics.

Kesimpulan Materi
Penggunaan media diagram Al-Khawarizmi dalam pembelajaran persamaan kuadrat telah menimbulkan efek positif pada siswa, Menimbulkan rasa suka terhadap pelajaran matematika, karena penyajian yang tidak ceramah melulu, tetapi melibatkan diskusi sekaligus emosi positif siswa. Meningkatkan motivasi, sebagai contoh: siswa akan sangat antusias apabila disuguhkan media pembelajaran dalam mengerjakan soal-soal yang diberikan, sehingga waktu belajar tidak terasa dan juga bisa meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan persamaan kuadrat.
